Analysis of satellite imagery, indicating that construction of oil industry roads inhibited water drainage, and that spillages appear to have polluted considerable amounts of land and water draining into the White Nile. The study relates particularly to Block 5A – and within that especially to the Jath oilfield – in the period from 2000 to 2006.
